Sincere thanks for the paint guide. You've saved me making a mess of my terrain. I was actually considering using bronze spray paint and washes, it would have looked terrible.

Totally appreciate that things take time and understand you’ve got a lot on your plate but I (and probably a few others!) am still keen to get painting and would love even a quick update or rough breakdown if you've had a chance to experiment further. Thanks for clearing that up, I'll try printing the walls at 0.12mm on my old ender.

The printing doc actually recommends a layer height of 0.2mm for most of the pieces unless stated otherwise. Some specific pieces are recommended to be printed at 0.12 or 0.16mm but there is no reference to any of the new (steampunk or frost walls) pieces at all. It appears that the guide has not been updated to include the new sets nor any explanation of why some files are in 2 parts this time.

Microsoft 3D Builder is good for basic things like splitting a floor hex. I have done this many times with no issues when making a test print.

Hi Todd Sounds like you only have the first half of the sewer pack and missed the release of the second half of the set. The second half of the sewer pack was released a short while after the first and contains many more walls, PT3's, Flat 4's and 5's. The full sewer set is available for download.

I have found that using a syringe to put the resin into the traps is a lot easier than trying to pour it. It can be very messy when it goes where you don't want it. Very Sticky stuff

I think my Frosthaven campaign will have at least 20-25 Sewer scenarios regardless of what the official theme should be. This stuff is way too good to go unused for long. My mother often told me to get my mind out of the sewer. Not possible, mother. BTW Jaws of the Lion has a bunch of Sewer themed scenarios.

I have only printed dungeon scenic risers so far...54x1, 36x3, 25x5, and 85 plain risers. may be more than needed but I ran out when I had less. They're super easy to paint, clip them all together and slap on some paint, done in 15 minutes.

Sorry I can't share the modified wall files, I never should have offered to do so in the first place. It creates a lot of hassles for the TST guys. If it is OK to share the texture files I'd be happy to do so but the texture was taken from a TST table so I would assume it is still the property of TST and subject to copyright. Below is an example of the texture file I created for the Knight Wall. It is fairly easy to use 3D Builder to put the texture on your walls, just align the texture to the top or sides of the model and then use "subtract" to cut the texture into the model. If you already have printed walls and would like to add texture to those it is easy to print a positive of the texture as a plate that can be glued on to the top or sides of the wall. I did that for a knight wall I had already printed and I was quite happy with it.

As crazydirtbiker mentioned it definitely seems to be a problem with the latest versions of cura. Older versions have no troubles slicing the files. I've also tried using Creality slicer and Prusa slicer and they have no problems slicing those files either.

I've been experimenting with adding wood textures over the past few days and I'm fairly pleased with the results. I found that the best way to do it is to create a negative of the wood texture then cut that into the the existing surface of the model. That seems to give better results than just placing a texture on top of the surface. I just used a combination of tinkercad to create the texture file then used ms 3d builder to place the texture on the wall then use "subtract" which will cut the texture into the model surface.. I took the texture from one of the tables included in the indoor expansion and modified it a little. I'd be happy to share the texture files if you would like. I'm not sure if it is ok to share the actual wall files but if Jay and Jeff grant permission to do so I would be happy to share those files too.

I have been using a print speed of 70mm/s on my Ender 3 V2 to print a lot of the terrain and have not noticed any discernible difference between those printed an the default 50mm/s. I have not tried any faster speed than 70mm/s. I print terrain with 5% lightning infill. Interestingly increasing the print speed 40%, from 50 to 70, does not equate to a 40% decrease in print time, I seem to get around 15-20% decrease in print time in my experience.

Thanks Crazy, that does explain a lot. It's an easy problem to work around so it hasn't slowed me down at all. I haven't gotten to printing cave stuff yet. I bought the "all in" over 2 months ago and have been running my printer 24/7 but still haven't made it to cave...... there's just so much awesome TST stuff to print.

A couple of workarounds for floor tiles that "warp" upwards when clipped together.. I'm certainly no expert, have only had a 3d printer for around 3 months so far, but I encountered a similar issue with the tiles "warping" after being connected together with the open lock clips. I tried using the springy open lock clips that you can download from Thingiverse and that solved the issue for me mainly because the clips are not so tight fitting and allow a little movement between tiles. I re-scaled the clips until I found a fit that suited best. I anticipated that a slight elephant foot of tiles printed horizontally would also cause the "warping" issue so I edited the horizontally printed floor tiles (Dungeon, Outdoor, Cave, etc) to have a 0.5mm chamfer on all edges. I know it's not the best solution but it worked. The slicing image you posted looks perfectly fine, I get the same in Cura. The issue you are having printing the Indoor wood tiles could possibly be an extrusion problem but as I said I am no expert and can't offer any advice there.

Thanks for the fast response. I was able to slice the walls after doing a few things that I mentioned in original post so it isn't any real issue. If it happens with any other files I'll go for the reinstall, I just hope it doesn't erase saved profiles etc. Thanks for the reply though.
