Future Ideas for TST
Hi everyone,
Just as the title says, I figured it would be fun to give TST a one-stop-shop to check out some wish list items from their growing fans and the inevitable 2nd Kickstarter!
- evergreen / mountainous foliage and trees -- it feels almost impossible to find trees that aren't of the more generic, fantasy forest variety. Would love to see some evergreen or pine type trees and bushes, especially with Frosthaven being located "in the north".
- wood floor walls -- of all the free stuff on Thingiverse, I am always super disappointed at the option for wood interior walls for terrain. These might be in the works already but nothing really seems to be there yet. Would love for this!
- a frame setup for doors -- coming from the maghex system, having the door frame attached to the base tile that lets you pull the door up and free is a nice touch. Would love to see TST's doors incorporate the same thing
I'm sure I will think of more as I continue to print and paint their stuff, but maybe toss your comments below for things you'd love to see them consider for the future!
It was actually really simple if you use PrusaSlicer.

download the MagHex doors from thingiverse.
load a MagHex door into prusa slicer.
on the left side is an option that allows you to slice a model, just chop off the bottom of the door making sure to ‘keep top part’, getting rid of the bottom hex.
right click on your newly chopped down door and scroll down to ’add part’, then ‘from file…’
add your talisman sabre floor hex of choice
move the hex to 0,0,0 using the coordinate system, and move the door to 0,0,0.
then move the door posts up in Z until they are high enough but still intersecting the floor hex a bit.
save the file as a .STL, and as a .3mm in case you need to tweak or edit it. Done!
I’ve done this for a lot of files now, and you can get really creative with it, but this is a very simple method that works with a slicer you probably already have installed.
